Prior to the announcement that I was chosen as a Shaklee180 blogger, my sister shared this recipe with me. Wow was it delicious! However, I knew I had to get it posted up on the blog before my new diet and fitness regime started. I love this recipe because it has a mix of slight savory with the sweetness of the butterscotch and white chocolate chips. Plus it is packed full of crunch!
So here is the recipe for Salted Butterscoth Cookies, my last dessert recipe in the blog for awhile.
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 egg
3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1/4 cup sugar (granulated)
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
3/4 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup crushed pretzels
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla extract
Direction
Did you get all your ingredients together? Good! Now preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
While that’s heating up mix together in a bowl the butter and sugar. Once you’ve mixed it well add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix that up really well. Now you want to mix in the flour, baking soda salt, and cornstarch. At this point you may want to use a mixer or hand blender. After that slowly stir in the crushed up pretzels white chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips.
Now pull out your baking sheet. You’ll want to scoop the batter (enough to fill a standard spoon) and place on the sheet to make the individual cookies. If you would like, you can always sprinkle a little more salt on top!
Now bake for just 3 to 6 minutes. You want the cookies to be barely golden brown around edges. Let the cookies cool on a rack for a minute or two. However don’t let them get too cool! They taste best warm. Enjoy!
