Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies #Recipe

If you love cookies and chocolate, this is the recipe for you! With the air cold, nothing warms the soul like warm gooey chocolate. This recipe is awesome for when you are in the mood to just curl up on the couch and give into chocolate. A perfect comfort food treat. Plus, this recipe for Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies is pretty easy! They were perfect to make post Hurricane Sandy.

Ingredients

– 3 1/2 cups flour
– 2 sticks softened butter
– 1 cup sugar
–  3/4 cup light brown sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1 tbsp vanilla extract
–  chocolate chips
– 1 package of Oreo cookies

Directions

First simply preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Zap the butter in the microwave real quick to melt it. Then mix in the melted better with both the sugar and brown sugar. A mixer will help combine it together really well! Then beat in the eggs and the vanilla extract.

Then in a separate bowl, mix together the flour with the salt and baking soda. Slowly add this bowl’s contents to the wet ingredients you mixed together earlier. Add in your chocolate chips. It is recommended you use at least 10 ounces, but it is really up to you how many chips you want to add.

Scoop the cookie dough and create little cookie dough balls. Using a cookie scoop really helps! Then place one of the scoops on top of an Oreo cookie. Take another scoop of dough and place it on the bottom of the Oreo. You should then have what looks like an Oreo sandwiched between two cookie dough scoops. Seal edges together so the Oreo is enclosed within the cookie dough.

By now your oven should be heated! Place the cookies onto a non-greased baking sheet. You’ll then want to bake the cookies about 9 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Make sure you let the cookies cool for 5 minutes before you transfer them to the cooling rack.
