Did You Have a #Merry #Christmas? ~ #Christmas2011

Hope everyone had a magical Christmas this year! I am now back in town, but not quite fully back from the holiday break. I have family in town till January 2nd.

We had a great first Christmas for the little man! He received more than enough toys from the family and Santa! Walkers, books, push along wagons, cars, a ride on train, books, cars, basketball hoop, books, cars…. did I mention the books and cars? Yes, this little guy loves his books, and loves his cars!

As for this momma, she received a new camera! Yes, a nice new Nikon. Finally! No more borrowing my mom’s camera or taking photos with my phone. My old digital camera died earlier this year, but never got around to replacing it. So happy to finally have a new one in my hands!

O’ Christmas Tree! O’ Christmas Tree!

Though my Christmas Tree has been up for quite some time, it wasn’t until last night did I finally take a picture of it! Every night I sit by the lit tree, watching television while working on my lap top. There is just something so calming and beautiful. Since I don’t have a fireplace, the tree is sort of like that for me. I curl up to relax for the evening by the lights and tree. Now only if I had a cup of Hot Chocolate… Oh wait! I do! Stay tune for a review that’s quite Hot Chocolate related…

I like to decorate my tree with white lights and a mix of ornaments passed down in the family and ones I’ve bought to fit a more funky style.

I love love love Christmas! Yes that’s three loves. Can’t get enough of the holiday.  I’m one of those people who has their tree up the day after Thanksgiving.  Okay, I really have it up right after Thanksgiving dinner, but you get the picture.  In my house, every room needs a little Christmas flair.

I absolutely love the concept of Scrolls from Santa!  What a great way to make your little one’s Christmas much more magical.  You can choose between Scrolls for the Naughty, or Scrolls for the Nice.  The website is easy to navigate and ordering is simple.  Scrolls from Santa generously sent me the North Pole Package.  I was able to customize the scroll specifically to my son’s name, and what I felt was his good behavior this season.


The scroll arrived in a tube shaped like the North Pole, along with 3 holiday themed stamps, marked as if the tube arrived from the North Pole. The top is a glittery ornament you can remove and place on your Christmas tree.  With this package, you receive the scroll, Rudolph character bands, and then a choice between Insta-Snow or 2 pairs of Christmas Vision Glasses.

Inside the tube is an elegant scroll with a letter written to your little one from Santa!  This is a very cool concept and just imagine your little’s glee when they see a letter from Santa telling them how good they’ve been.

 

I liked the scroll very much, minus the seal was pealing off.  It definitely need more glue.  For this package, I chose the Insta-Snow which arrived, however the Rudolph character bands were missing.  That was a disappointment, as I would have liked to receive the whole package.
