I’m a bath girl. I love soaking in the tub with bath bombs, bubble bath, bath salts, and any pleasant smelling soap. Right now, I’m on a natural soap kick! I was so excited when I learned that YesterYear Soap Company wanted to send me some samples.
At the YesterYear Soap Company, we are preserving the timeless craft of artisan soap making. With our hand crafted soap you’ll enjoy its moisturizing, cleansing and soothing benefits- all natural soap without added chemicals, preservatives or synthetic fragrances.
YesterYear generously sent me their 3 Bar Gift Box Set! This gift set included the following scents: African Black Soap, Mississippi Mud, and After Midnight. These natural soaps do not contain artificial substances, such as dyes, parabins, or preservatives. YesterYear makes every effort to use organically grown products. Their soaps contain no detergents, alcohol’s, propylene glycol and other chemicals commonly found in commercially blended ‘soap’. On the each bar’s label, you can find a list of the simple ingredients: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Soybean Oil, Organic Shea Butter, and Water.
The African Black Soap has very earthy fragrance and reminded more of a “man” smell. However, this soap naturally breaks down dead skin cells, which leaves your skin looking and feeling younger. After use, my skin felt so soft!
Mississippi Mud had quite a unique fragrance! The scent is a mix of Rosemary and berry, with a hint of patchouli. Patchouli is a blend of a musty and sweet smell. I could definitely smell the sweet side and the musty side. The fragrance was a little too much on the heavy side for me, but I did get a great lather in the shower with my loofah.
After Midnight was my favorite of the three. It contained peppermint leaves and had a nice sweet and smooth light scent to it.
I found each of the soaps to be very gentle on my skin. YesterYear Soap is great for all skin types, even for those with sensitive skin. The bars are a good size so that last quite awhile.
