So here I am at the end of Week 9 with Nutrisystem on the Women’s Select Success Plan. It’s been a stressful month to say the least. Most of it has to do with my day job and balancing life as a single mom. Unfortunately, during the week, I’ve missed some of my meals. The stress gets so bad that I actually loose my appetite or simply don’t have time. I think this is throwing me off. Very often I weigh myself every day. I saw a lot of up and down with my weight this week.
This morning I weighted myself and I lost another pound. So far after 2 months on Nutrisystem, I’m down 14 lbs. In the first month I lost 9 lbs, so it was a little disappointing that I only lost 5 lbs for the second month. I just need to stay focused and work hard to get the rest of the weight off. If I am able to loose at least 5 lbs each month for the next 2 months, that is still a 24 lbs weight loss. Hopefully I can it back to 9 lbs a month, loosing a total of 31 lbs.
Week 2 – 1 lb.
Week 5 – 2 lbs.
Week 7 – 1 lb.
Like I said, a lot of it had to do with stress and not necessarily sticking to my meal plan. I missed some meals which I think probably put my body into that “starvation mode” which then holds onto fat. I then also had company in town who insisted on dining out for every meal. I think I made good choices as far as that went. However, we did have a BBQ at one point and it was hard to say no to the appetizing treats.
I was still able to enjoy a few of my favorites, like the Mushroom Risotto (pictured above) and the Thin Mint Crisps (pictures below). The risotto is one of my favorites. I like that it has a nice little spice and kick to it. Also, I went back to making my vegetable pizzas! Mushrooms, peppers, and onions. On some of them I even put broccoli. One night I was in the mood for something sweet, so I put on pineapple to give it a nice tang.
As for workouts, I did get a good amount of exercise in. However, it has been brutally hot here in Maryland. Just standing outside in the 90 degree weather, I could have sworn I would sweat out at least 5 lbs of water weight! Okay, not really, but I’m sure it is helping with the weight loss.
So here we are entering Week 10. The next two weeks will be tough as far as work goes. We have meetings galore and my performance review is coming up which determines whether I will get a raise or not. Wish me luck!

You are doing wonderful!! And you haven’t had a gain week. That’s a feat in and of itself. My body usually likes to revolt a bit at the 6 week mark with a gain ;) Keep it up and I’m sure you’ll see the results you want.

I was a single mom for a long time and working, trying to do it all, that stress is horrible. You are doing great though, do not let a slow month get to you, you did not gain. Hang in there, it does get better.
