So here I am at the end of Week 4 with Nutrisystem on the Women’s Select Success Plan. Last week I lost 2 pounds despite heading out of town where it became hard to stick to the diet. I had high hopes for this week, hoping to loose at least 2 pounds again or more. Unfortunately the day I made my Week 3 post, my monthly visitor arrived. Bring on the bloating, crankiness, and the constant need for chocolate. Fortunately, I still lost 2 more pounds!
So for week 4, I lost 2 lbs. I’m going back to the mantra that a weight loss, no matter how small, is still better than a weight gain. In a few days, on May 9th, it will mark one month on the Nutrisystem diet. If I loose at least 9 pounds a month over the next 3 months, that will be at least 36 lbs shed! Of course I’m hoping for more, but I’m just so excited that the number on the scale keeps going down.
Week 2 – 1 lb.
During this week, I watched my weight fluctuate quite a bit. While in other weeks, my weight steadily decreased at each morning weigh-in, this week was just up and down! This might have had to do with water weight and bloating. I’m not an expert, so I’m not positive. Just a guess. I tried to get in My Daily Three and even exercised on the days I felt well trying to make up for the days I spend curled up crying for chocolate. Okay, so I really wasn’t crying, but the cravings were still there! Luckily for me, I can eat desserts and chocolate goodness while on Nutrisystem. Unluckily for me, I wanted more than what is allotted.
This week I also tried some new to me offerings from Nutrisystem. The first was the Arroz Con Pollo. Now I’ve never been a big fan of chicken so I was hesitant to try this dish. However, I loved the spicy taste of the rice and peppers. The chicken? Wasn’t so much a fan of and ended up pulling some of it out. Another new food was the Chicken Fajita Melt for lunch. Again, loved the spiciness of this melt, but wasn’t a big fan of the chicken. I ended up opening the breading and pulling the chicken slices out. Both items I enjoyed greatly after pulling the chicken out, but I’m guessing that I didn’t do myself any favors by eliminating the protein aspect of each one.
Another new to me Nutrisystem food I tried is their Frosted Chocolate Donut. YUM! Wish I had ordered more of those!
I recently pulled my bikini back out for inspiration. I had just bought it the summer before I found out I was expecting. Poor bikini, we only had one summer to enjoy together. Of course I hope to be back in a bikini this summer. However, I will just take feeling comfortable in a swimsuit at the beach. The warm sand and ocean waves are calling my name! Even more inspiration to get back in shape!
So now that I’m feeling back to normal, I’m getting focused for Week 5. Bring it on!

Ya know what I think I like about nutri-system as opposed to those ‘other’ plans… no cardboard tasting junk! Doesn’t that make it easier to stick to?
