So here I am at the end of Week 3 with Nutrisystem on the Women’s Select Success Plan. Last week I only lost 1 pound and was feeling a little down that the number was not more. I just reminded myself though that a loss is a loss. Going away to a conference and not having access to my Nutrisystem food had a lot to do with this. However, this past week I once again had to head out of town. Luckily I was able to bring my Nutrisystem with me and had access to a kitchen. Unfortunately, the everyone I was with had other dining plans and I often found myself at restaurants having to choose Nutrisystem diet friendly meals.
So for week 3, I lost 2 lbs! This is great considering with Nutrisystem, you loose 1 to 2 lbs a week, and once again, I was away from my kitchen for half of the week.
Week 2 – 1 lb.
While I was away, I made sure to get My Daily Three in everyday. Very often, I would get up early and go for a walk around town for 30 minutes to an hour. Very refreshing and so easy. I think the extra activity helped with maintaining a weight loss when not eating Nutrisystem specific meals.
This week I while on Nutrisystem I tried the Asian Style Beef. Not normally, I’ve never been a fan of pre-packaged beef dishes. When I would buy those “tv dinners” or frozen meals for lunch, I often opted for pasta dishes out of fear that the meat dishes would lack that delicious taste. I absolutely loved the Asian Style Beef! The sauce was so perfect with the juicy broccoli and peppers. The beef was not too chewy. Definitely giving a thumbs up for this dish.
As for when I dined out while I was away. I simply ordered a salad, with dressing on the side, and an appetizer as my entree. Some of those meals included tuna tartar, orange chili shrimp, and mushroom raviolis. The portions were very small, but the salad helped satisfy the hunger. I just had to keep in mind the guidelines Nutrisystem as taught me.
Some of my favorites this week were once again the Butternut Squash Raviolis and Whole Wheat Ricotta Crepes. For breakfast I was able to enjoy veggie omelets and pancakes! I absolutely love the Nutrisystem Homestyle Pancakes. You get two in a pack, and they are so yummy. There is no need to add syrup or butter, the taste is already packed in.
For Week 4 I’m staying in town and can once again focus on eating my Nutrisystem meals like I did during Week 1.
