So here I am in the middle of week 2 of the Mommy Bloggers 21 Day Weight Loss Challenge with Dustin Maher from Fit Moms for Life. I just turned into my points of my progress for the week. Looks like I’m somewhat in the middle. I was certainly impressed by some of the numbers of my fellow bloggers! Made me feel like a slacker! While I think I’m doing good with the exercises, despite the knee injury, I think it is the diet where I keep loosing track.
So the work outs have been good. The squats and back lunges are still hurting my knees. Icing them at night does not seem to be working as well as it did before. However, I love that both my push-ups and plank have already started to improve!
Trying to get through the whole workout is still an issue. Usually 2/3 of the way through I’m interrupted by a certain little one who doesn’t like that I’m not paying attention to him. If he gets really upset, I use him as the “weight” for strength training. He loves that! I’ve been searching for like “mother’s helper” to play with him after work while I’m go through my routine, but haven’t had any luck. I’ve tried singing to him while I go through the motions, but that no longer works either. It’s his teething. It makes me much more fussier than his usual self. When I know all he needs to feel better is a hug, it is hard to concentrate on the fitness. Plus, as I said with anything, my son always comes first.
The meals are going okay. When I’m at home, I eat healthy. When I’m at work, that is when things slip. It’s all about making good decisions and saying no to temptations.
So have I seen results? While I haven’t stepped on my EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale yet (review to come soon!), I do feel that my pants are looser. So either I’ve lost some weight, or I’ve stretch my pants out. Let’s hope it is the first one of the two!
Fingers crossed that I can do better this week! Good luck to my fellow bloggers!

Lol I am pretty sure you did not stretch your pants! Great job on staying motivated even with your knees. I was in the middle too for my first week, I need more sleep. Cheers to you and another week biting the dust. Have you seen those salad in mason jars on Pinterest? That may help you with your lunches, easy to prepare. You can google them.

Good for you. Stopping by from the hop

Just keep trying while you are at work. Others may see you bringing in healthy lunches or snacks and start joining in! You could even bring some to share. It is definitely harder to get in a good workout when the little ones are right there. I tend to wait until hubby or her older siblings can keep her occupied while I work out. Gotta love teething!

Isn’t it great when the pants start feeling looser? I can’t wait to see your scale review and hear more about the challenge. I’m doing another plan or I would join you…I may join this later for the exercise portion!!

I have the same problem with the little one.. times 3. The only time I can get my workout in, semi-uninterrupted is if I start before they get up.

You aren’t slacking. You are doing great for where you are at right now. It’s way more important that you feel good about the effort you are making with the situation you have. Lasting change comes with positive effort.

Sounds like you’re doing just great! I haven’t had a bathroom scale in my house for years. The best indicator is a big mirror and your clothes ;)

I was going to do this but I never received a workout video and I wasn’t even sure how it all works. Nobody really explained it. I did get a book to review but how do you do a workout based on a book with a few exercises in it?
Ashley says
The workout video was a download in one of the docs. It should still be up. They are going to do the challenge again in March.

Those two exercises i find challenging too. I have had to stop the video many times just to make sure I don’t lose form. Jodi is super fast at doing those backlunges and pushups!
My daughter is also teething. She’s been waking up in the middle of the night lately and has been really clingy lately so it’s been a challenge to get my work outs in! We can do this even with our little distractions! lol keep up the good work momma!
