With summer here, that sun is out shining bright! What better way to protect the eyes than with the perfect pair of sunglasses. Now I admit, I’m always in need of a pair. Now my local readers will be happy to know that Waveborn actually started as a DC based social startup. With a $10,000 crowdfunding campaign goal through IndieGoGo, they reached their goal and doubled less than 36 hours! In all the campaign raised $20,700, which the help of 10 countries and 28 states. In other words, amazingly Waveborn will be able to provide over 250 pairs of glasses the needy. How awesome is that?
Waveborn offers a creative selection of six unique styles of sunglasses. The styles are unisex and look great on both men and women, no matter what the age. They generously sent me the Palisades style in Black. The paid is available in other colors such as Spring Blue, Rustic Brown, Black & Yellow, and Tortoise. If you are going to be sporting your shades in the hot summer weather all day long, you’ll be happy to know that the lenses offer 100% UV protection! Major plus in my opinion.
