I received this information as a blogger via Walt Disney Publications and was not financially compensated.
Back in June, while visiting California, I had the opportunity to visit the Walt Disney Animation Studios. I have to say, it was pretty amazing to visit the old studio where Walt Disney himself imagined and created such beloved Disney characters.
While walking on the grounds, it was pretty awesome to learn that parts of the movie SAVING MR. BANKS were filmed right there on the property. I’ll definitely have to go through some of my photos and post at a later date the cool shots I took.
Now here is the fun part! Check out the trailer before for SAVING MR. BANKS and see if you can spot the scenes filmed the at the old animation studio. This is actually the first film that depict the iconic entrepreneur himself… Walt Disney!
Inspired by true events, “Saving Mr. Banks” is the extraordinary, untold story of how Disney’s classic “Mary Poppins” made it to the screen—and the testy relationship that the legendary Walt Disney had with author P.L. Travers that almost derailed it.
