It’s no lie that at times, after birthing children, your body just isn’t the same. I only had one child and I can tell you when I look in the mirror, I see and feel a difference. Birthing, age, stress, life in general can all take a toll on what you look like. Luckily with today’s technology and medical advancements, one can recapture their youthful body that once was!
The other night I was out with some of my “mom” friends. Many of them complained about how after nursing their children, their breasts shrunk. I asked one of them if they would consider breast implants. She responded enthusiastically with a “yes!” She wanted the lift, the implants, and a tummy tuck too. With today’s medical technology, why not? If someone truly wants back their body, or an improved body in their eyes, then why not consider implants?
However, like with any big decision, there are several factors to consider and think about. First, there is the cost. The average cost of silicone breast implants is around $3,500 to $7,000. This procedure may cost up to $10,000. If you opt for saline breast implants, those are often up to $500 less expensive. While the price of breast implants may seem quite high, you have to consider if the implants will make you happy or assist with your self-esteem. If that is the case, is the price really that much then?
Second, this is a major surgery. Very often, the procedure may take just two to three hours. However, every body may react differently. You also need to consider how big the implants and the doctor’s experience when it comes to how long the surgery will take and how long you will need recovery time.
Third, you need to decide which implant to go with. The two most popular choices for implants are silicone and saline. While both are considered to be safe, you should still do your research. It is best to consult with your doctor on which implant may be best for you and your body.
I understand the importance of being happy with the body you have. Listening to my “mom” friends, I can tell that implants would do wonders for their self-esteem. Heck, there are times when I say that in the future I’ll opt for a lift to get that “younger” look again. Procedures like lifts and implants do come with high costs. However, if you know it will truly make you happy, then with today’s technology, then consider doing your research and consulting with a doctor on these potential “improvements”.
I was financially compensated for this post. However, this is 100% my own honest opinion. No one has influenced me otherwise.
