One of my favorite holidays is fast approaching… Valentine’s Day! It’s the day to celebrate LOVE. It’s amazing to think how much though, efforts, money, and time goes into planning the perfect Valentine’s Day. This day is a pretty big deal all across the world!
Looking at the box of jewelry received from Valentine’s Day past, I can admit that every girl wants to feel special that day. Sometimes the perfect way to show your love is through something pretty and shiny (and of course a passionate “I love you”). This is a day that means business!
Either way, it’s a fun holiday to show your love to friends and family. Shane Co. put together this great infographic that crunches the Valentine’s Day numbers! I mean 4 Eiffel Towers worth of chocolate is consumed? Now that’s impressive!

That is a whole mess of money we all spend!! Makes me think twice—maybe I’ll ask my Mom for some cold hard cash to put towards bills!! Of course I will get her flowers and candy!!
Wow, now that’s a lot of money spent.
Wow that’s very interesting. I’ve never spent a ton for valentine’s day. I like to make handmade gifts for sweet treats and then give cards.
My goodness, all the money that is being spent for Valentine’s Day. Wow! Love these info graphics. They are always full of interesting info that is easy to understand.
Wow, I can’t believe all the money spent on jewelry. I bet that’s by unmarried couples. LOL! This gal married for 25 years gets a card. Thanks for sharing the info, neat to look at!
Every year I tell my husband not to get me anything and every year he does. Sometimes I’m glad he doesn’t listen.
Wow! Well, this year (just like the last 2) Hubby will be spending Valentine’s Day away from me (thanks to the Navy), so I’m not sure we’ll be exchanging anything.
Wow. Interesting numbers….never thought about how much is spent each year
LOL This was really cute. I’ve never really thought about what other people do for Valentine’s Day. I’m just happy to spend time with my SO.
Love all the statistics! WHo knew christmas eve was popular for baby making?!
That was fun, I must admit I love dining out and chocolates but when you read that 58,000,000 lbs of chocolate is eaten its a little off putting. Maybe flowers instead this year.
Very interesting! I love infographics.
*Sigh.* Now that I see this chart, I know why I have one of the most popular birthdays in the world…Christmas Eve baby!!! #1 day to concieve a child!!!
Wow! So much money spent for Valentines Day! And tons of chocolate!! This was a fun post, thanks for sharing!
