Upere: High End Wedge Sneakers ~ #Review

Now as a short girl, I usually wear heels or wedges so I can feel a little taller! Let’s face it though… sometimes 7 plus hours in heels can kill your feet. I’m more about comfort. Luckily Upere makes wedge sneakers that is not only fashionable, but super comfortable! As someone who just loves shoes, I couldn’t resist trying out a pair. These shoes are made of high-end leather and suede and feature a hidden 2-inch heel for lift.

Upere offers their sneaks in a variety of colors. They have everything from blues to greens to reds to golds to multi-color. When Upere generously offered to send me a pair, I chose to go with black. I knew black would go great with not only my basic wardrobe of black, white, and grey, but would also pair well when I wear more bright colors.

I admit when I first open the box, there was a strong smell of leather. I set the shoes out on my porch for a bit to air out. The next day the smell was gone. I recommend you do this when the shoes arrive! I’ve had to do this before with other leather products. It’s really not a big deal, but I thought I just give you the FYI.

I tried the shoes on with a variety of styles! I paired them with skinny jeans, leggings, dresses and skirts. My favorite looks were with short dresses/skirts and also with leggings. I think they may actually be very popular among teens. I live near our local mall and any time I wore the shoes out there, I often had teens offering up compliments and asking where they were from.

Let me circle back to how comfortable they are though! I wore them to run errands, and also on Nights Out. Never had an issue with my arches hurting from the heel. It’s like wearing more comfortable and casual heels. I really liked that I could still wear cute dresses out, but didn’t feel overly dressed like I would with heels.

Additionally, I love that the sneakers have a strap that goes around the ankle. This prevents your foot from sliding down in the shoe. Also with the protection around your ankle, you won’t have to hurt about rolling it and harming it if you aren’t so coordinated in a lifted shoe.
