Giant Food recently released their latest line of Limited Time Originals. This time around the theme is Toasted Coconut, and we are already big fans! Each product offers that unmistakable island flavor that is perfect suited for the approaching summer warmth.
Whether it’s hummus, cheese, granola, or cookies… coconut is featured in every product! Thanks to Giant Food, I had the chance to check out a few of the products from this line that were in stock at my local store. I must say, if you love coconut, these are definitely products you will want to try for yourself.
Check out some of my favorite Toasted Coconut creations!
First up the Toasted Coconut Creme Cookies… these were definitely a big hit in our household. These sandwich cookies have a sweet filling of chocolate mixed in with toasted coconut creme. My son loved finding these sandwich cookies in his lunch every day.
The Toasted Coconut hummus was a nice surprise! At first I wasn’t sure how “sweet” hummus would taste. But the coconut flavor is not overpowering at all! We enjoyed the hummus with plain crackers and bagel chips. The hummus definitely made a nice appetizer before dinner.
Speaking of dinner… We love the Toasted Coconut Popcorn Shrimp! My child is a picky eater, so I didn’t tell him it was shrimp. (Though we’ve now discovered he does like shrimp!). I placed these out on the table and he just started eating them right away. The shrimp are smaller in size, so if your child likes coconut shrimp, this is definitely the brand to pick up for them.
And what comes after dinner? Dessert! We picked up a Toasted Coconut Cake, and wow was it delicious. The shredded coconut on the outside along with the sweet creamy filling on the inside, overall gives the dessert a nice texture. We brought the cake over to a friends house to enjoy and it was definitely a hit among everyone who tried it!
I was sad that my local store did not have the Toasted Coconut Gouda nor Toasted Coconut Ice Cream in stock. I would have loved to try those! Maybe one day…
Food items aren’t the only products offered in the Toasted Coconut line. I love the summer vibes of the line’s unique flower bouquet! Nothing like treating yourself to fresh flowers…

I love anything with coconut in it. These look very yummy and something I probably would eat a lot of…in a sitting!!!
I’m with Kim on this one. We eat coconut in a lot of different foods! I haven’t seen this particular brand before, do you know if they are available here in Canada?
I know a friend who loves coconut. I think I need to surprise her with some of these treats for helping watch my kiddos the other day!

Coconut is super delicious, I love that you are able to get toasted coconut for a limited time. Surely many will hop on the bandwagon to go pick this up to make some delicious treats!
Yum! I love coconut shrimp, so I would go there. I shop at Stop and Shop (sister brand to Giant), so I love their limited edition foods. We had a lot of fun with all the peppermint products back in December. I’ll check my local Stop and Shop and see if they have that toasted coconut hummus in stock, I’m curious.
Those all sound delicious! We are big coconut fans in our household, I’m sure we would love these. I’ll have to see if I can get my hands on some.
We love coconut, I’ll have to check this out! There are so many recipes you could use this in. It would be nice to make some summer treats with toasted coconut.
