There are so many things that I love about March… The arrival of March signals that Spring is coming. St. Patrick’s Day is always a super fun holiday to celebrate. Baseball season is starting. Last but not least, March Madness goes down!
Ah yes, the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament aka The Big Dance aka March Madness, makes its way to my television. Every year I complete my bracket and enter a few pools. Last year I cleaned up picking Louisville to win it all! I’m usually one to pick with my head, not my heart, when it comes to my bracket. This year was I feeling super confident? Not really, but I was okay with my picks. I admit, I was making last minute changes on the Tuesday deadline.
However I never expected this to happen….
See all that red? Not good!
This is the first year in a long time where only one of my Final Four picks was correct. Usually I get at least 2 or 3, or like last year, where I picked all 4 correctly. But 1?!?!?! I don’t claim to be an expert, but going into this last weekend, I was still feeling hopeful that Florida would make it to the Championship, despite the fact that I had them falling to Arizona.
So tonight is Connecticut vs Kentucky. Since neither of my picks made it, nor any hometown teams… I’m going with Connecticut. Why? Two words. Well, three words: New England. Huskies.
Since Connecticut is part of my beloved New England, I’ll cheer for them. Since their mascot is the Husky, I’ll cheer for them even more. (If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve probably caught on that I’m determine to one day steal my BFF’s adorable husky!)
So who are you cheering on for tonight? Connecticut or Kentucky?
I was not financially compensated for this post. I just like talking about NCAA Basketball. All opinions are 100% my own.

Wait a minute… basketball is going on right now? Ha! We don’t actually follow it… but I’m sure we will when my boys get older.
