Marvel Magic Comes to Disneyland with the Thor: Treasures of Asgard Exhibit! ~ #FreeLoki #ThorDarkWorldEventLiving on the East Coast, whenever my family wanted to go to a Disney Theme Park, we headed down to Florida to Disney World. When I found out I was going to Disneyland for this trip, I was beyond excited. I couldn’t wait to see the park where Walt Disney’s vision came true. I was warned how small the park would be in comparison to it’s Florida counterpart, but I couldn’t wait to take in its charm and a new Disney experience.

That morning, all us bloggers headed to Disneyland in our #FreeLoki shirts. It wasn’t long after we walked in did the comments and questions start about our shirts… luckily all positive ones!

So you can probably guess that we were wearing these shirts to promote THOR: THE DARK WORLD. Well yes, that was part of it. However, we weren’t just promoting the film… we were there to experience the new THOR: TREASURES OF ASGARD EXHIBIT in Tomorrowland at Innovations!

We enjoyed a fun day together that morning in Disneyland, but I’ll get to that in a minute, I promise! I first want to chat the exhibit! It’s definitely a must see for any Marvel fan. It was actually pretty awesome that us bloggers were the first “tourists” to experience Treasures of Asgard.

One week ago, THOR: THE DARK WORLD open in theaters nationwide! If you haven’t seen it yet… RUN to your nearest theater. I can’t say enough about the awesomeness of this movie. Hopefully you’ve been checking out all the Thor coverage on my blog, including my experience at the red carpet premiere of THOR: THE DARK WORLD! While out there, I had the chance to interview Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, and Jaimie Alexander, who play Sif. They were the only two Thor stars though that my fellow 24 other bloggers and I were able to sit down with. We also were able to interview Zachary Levi, who took over the role of Thor’s friend Fandral!

Zachary entered in the interview room with an absolutely glowing smile! Now I’ll admit, I had heard of him before, but really only knew him as the voice of Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled. From the moment he walked in, he seemed warm, friendly, and excited for the interview. It was then I couldn’t wait to interview the new Fandral and see what Zachary Levi was all about!

Below I’ve included some highlights from the interview. I have to tell you… Zachary is quite the comedian! He had us nonstop laughing throughout the interview. For instance, when a blogger noted that her daughter was in love with Flynn Rider, Zachary wittingly replied “Tell her Eugene Fitz Harbor said hi!”

The first question was actually submitted by a fan. They asked how “battered and bruised” he became during the filming. Zachary gave the most hilarious look of shock! Of course he was just playing around, and in time answered that he dislocated a rib at one point, but that was a “freak accident”. Jokingly, he noted that probably the worst thing that happened to him was that he slammed his finger in his trailer door. The remedy? With a big smile, he replied “just ice and alcohol”.

Were you nervous about taking this role and being part of this huge franchise?

ZACHARY: I was nervous about coming in and-and having any ill-will from any of the rest of the cast, knowing that Josh (Dallas) had played it in the first film. Some of the cast knew, like Tom and Jaimie, that I was originally going to be Fandral. Then Chuck got in the way and I wasn’t able to do it. Josh was able to play the role and did a fantastic job.

I didn’t want to feel like the guy who’s coming in and like taking someone’s job away. His role on Once Upon a Time conflicted. It was like what happened to me, happened to him and came back around. That was the only thing I was kind of nervous about. Being apart of the Marvel Universe is nothing to be nervous about. I think it’s, you should just celebrate that. You get to be apart of this incredible comic book, lineage and family and universe that they’ve built. One of the first days on set Tom gave me a big hug and said “Welcome, glad you were finally able to come and do this.” I felt that love from everybody. So I wasn’t nervous beyond that.

I recently had the beyond amazing privilege to fly out to California for the red carpet premiere of THOR: THE DARK WORLD! Hopefully you’ve had a chance to read my interview with Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki. He wasn’t the only Thor star we had the chance to chat with. My fellow 24 other bloggers and I were able to sit down with Jaimie Alexander, who plays Thor’s friend Sif in the film! How awesome is that?

I have to say, as Jaimie waltzed into the room, she was absolutely stunning! A green “fur” coat hid her premiere outfit, as she quickly quipped that it was indeed a fake. No real fur there! She showed a little bit of her comedic side wittingly asking if she looked like a “green wookie.” Seriously… did us bloggers luck out in getting to interview some of the friendliest celebrities around? Chatting with Jaimie was like hanging with that fun girlfriend you grab a beer and catch a baseball game with! Right away she seemed very down to earth and easy to talk to. It wasn’t long before the questions were rolling in.

Below I’ve included some highlights from the interview. Jaimie is exactly the type of girl I want to be best friends with, hehe. I love that she is NOT your typical drop-dead gorgeous Hollywood celebrity. She has a unique and tomboy side to her. She believes empowering young girls and women all across the nation to feel confident and speaks with a message to help boost their self-esteems.

This first question centered around how Jaimie felt to be a strong female character in a super hero series. She enthusiastically replied that it has been an amazing feeling. Jaimie feels that Marvel has written her role well, and for her, the role has been a “dream come true!”

Your character in the comics has a romantic relationship with Thor? Will we get to see any of that, the triangle they have going on?

JAIMIE: They hint at it a little bit in the film. They can’t go fully there,but they definitely hint at it. It’s always fun, because it is in the comic books, and we definitely want to appease the fans. I look at him a few times. Unfortunately he’s not shirtless in front of me, but that’s fine, it’s all right.

I recently had the beyond amazing privilege to fly out to California for the red carpet premiere of THOR: THE DARK WORLD! While out there, oh-so-awesome opportunity to interview Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, the God of Mischief, in Marvel’s Thor/Avengers series. Now I admit, I’m totally a #TeamThor girl. Prior to this trip, I noticed all the fan love for Loki via the #LokiArmy and #LokiLadies. Actually we even had a good number of Loki Ladies in our blogger group!

As Tom walked into the room, he greeted us with a huge warm smile! He claimed that he felt like the “President or something” given our enthusiastic response to his arrival. He noted sarcastically in a polite manner “well I play the bad guy, you probably know that. I feel like I should be sitting here with a white cat and stroking it.” Polite and funny? This interview was off to a good start!

Below I’ve included some highlights from the interview. Tom was beyond charming and such a nice fellow to meet! He was gracious and genuine. One of the highlights? He actually stopped the interview at one point because he just wanted to tell us how beautiful he thought we all looked. No really. Cue the swooning (yes, I know that even the one daddy blogger in the group was swooning too!). Okay, I know his compliments were directed to the room… but it’s not every day a celebrity tells me I’m beautiful. So yes, I had to mention it!

How did you get in character to play a bad guy, and do you really like playing those kind of roles?

TOM: Second question first. I love playing all kinds of roles, and I hope it doesn’t sound too pretentious but I always feel like human nature is like a piano. There are 88 keys where some white keys and some black keys and each character is a different chord on the piano. I hope that in the course of my life I will have played all 88 keys in lots of different ways. So I’ll have played heroes, and villains, and princes and kings and warriors and beggars and thieves and lovers and fathers and wizards. For me that’s why I’m an actor. I love studying people.

I’ll Be Hanging Out With Heroes Thanks to Disney, Marvel, & DreamWorks! ~ #ThorDarkWorldEvent #DeliveryManEvent

Ever have one of those bad days that are just so awful that you assume it will never get better? Yup, totally had one of those the other day. As some of you know, I’ve been super bummed about loved ones being deployed overseas very soon. I had one of those days where it was weighing heavily on my mind. It is those HEROES who I kept thinking about… until… an email from Disney popped up in my inbox discussing a different type of “hero”! Funny thing… the email came through while I was at work, and I’m pretty sure my co-workers were suddenly confused why I was shrieking with glee!

Next month I’m headed to Los Angeles to attend the THOR: THE DARK WORLD red carpet premiere, interview Loki aka Tom Hiddleston and Sif aka Jaimie Alexander,. How freaking awesome is that news? That’s not all though… I also get to see DELIVERY MAN and interview Chris Pratt and Vince Vaughn!! So now do you see why I so giddy with happiness? To say that the news made my day is an understatement. It totally made my year!! I cannot wait to attend the #ThorDarkWorldEvent and #DeliveryManEvent!

I’ll Be Hanging Out With Heroes Thanks to Disney, Marvel, & DreamWorks! ~ #ThorDarkWorldEvent #DeliveryManEventI feel myself getting all excited again as I even type this post! Okay, I promise to calm down so I don’t type complete gibberish from all my SQUEELING!

Now my son is also a HUGE Super Hero fan! I must admit, he loves Iron Man the best… but he was certainly excited to hear that his mom was heading to a super-hero themed event (as a 2 year old, he didn’t quite understand what I meant by red carpet). Every day he keeps asking “Momma, when you going to see super heroes?”
