Just one week to go till Marvel Studios’ ANT-MAN AND THE WASP marches into theatres!! And. I. Can’t. Wait. We already bought our tickets and are counting down the days. Did you know that ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is the first Marvel Studios’ female titled film? Marvel has history of presenting strong, fierce, kick-butt females, and we know that the Wasp will be no different!
Did you catch AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR over the weekend? Big congrats to the film for earning over $880 million (globally and domestically combined) for their opening weekend!! Make sure you check out the hashtag #InfinityWarEvent for all the amazing INFINITY WAR fun!! However if you’ve seen the film, and still craving more from the MCU, luckily you don’t have to wait too long. ANT-MAN AND THE WASP arrives in theatres this July! What’s even more awesome is that Marvel Studios dropped a NEW TRAILER today!
Well these past couple days have been ones full of excitement for Marvel Studios! Last night was the world premiere of BLACK PANTHER!! Go check out the hashtag #BlackPantherEvent to see all the fun. And today, the NEW official trailer for ANT-MAN AND THE WASP hit the internet! What is even cooler is that a few of my bloggy friends went on a #SecretSetVisit to check out the film, and you can read their posts today via the hashtag #AntManAndWasp! How awesome is that?
Did you know that earlier this month, Marvel began production on the much anticipated sequel to ANT-MAN…. ANT-MAN AND THE WASP! And we couldn’t be more excited! Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprise their ANT-MAN roles to play the titled characters. The film picks up in the aftermath of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Scott Lang (Ant-Man) struggles to balance his life as a superhero, and his home life. It’s not long before Hope and Dr. Hank Pym show up with a new mission. Only this time Ant-Man will have a new teammate… The Wasp!

Woo hoo! One of my favorite movies I saw this summer was definitely Marvel’s ANT-MAN! I was thrilled to learn today that Paul Rudd will once again return to the big screen in an Ant-Man sequel… only this time he’ll have someone with him! 
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP will hit theaters as a part of Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on July 6, 2018. Did you know that this is actually the first time that a Marvel title features a female hero’s name? Awesome! Evangeline Lilly will return as Hope Van Dyne, the original Ant-Man’s daughter, who is now following in her mother’s footsteps and donning her own super hero suit!
In other Marvel news, this means that there will be some shifting around for other Phase Three films. Writer Joe Robert Cole is now being tapped for BLACK PANTHER, and will be bumped up to February 16, 2018. CAPTAIN MARVEL, which is the studio’s first solo female film, will be pushed back to March 8, 2019. Marvel has also added three untitled movies to 2020. The release dates are May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and Nov. 6, 2020. My guess is that these untitled films will be the beginning of Phase Four, following AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR – PART II, which comes out 2019. Maybe?
