Earlier today Walt Disney Studios confirmed that they are indeed teaming up with Jon Favreau for another live action film. This time… THE LION KING! Favreau directed this year’s successful live action version of THE JUNGLE BOOK, which was not only earned $965.8 million worldwide, but also is considered technologically groundbreaking!
I’m sure you know by now that Disney Studio’s successful live action hit, THE JUNGLE BOOK, is now available on Digital HD, Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, and On Demand. When we saw the film in the theaters, we immediately fell in love with this retelling of the adventures of “man-cub” Mowgli, and his animal friends, panther Bagheera and bear Baloo. One aspect of the film that I love is that they included remakes of the original songs featured in the 1968 classic, including my favorite “The Bare Necessities!”
One of mine and my son’s favorite movies this year was definitely THE JUNGLE BOOK! And I think audiences definitely agree with us. The film was a huge success to the tune of $949 million at the global box office. How amazing is that? Last week, this retelling of the Disney classic became available on Digital HD. TODAY you can now grab the Bluray Combo Pack, as well as the DVD and On Demand! While in Los Angeles, I learned more about the film’s bonus features on its home entertainment release, and participated in a Q&A with producer Brigham Taylor and visual effects supervisor Robert Legato. That experience alone made me even more excited to include the adventures of Mowgli, Bagheera, and Baloo in future family movie nights.
TODAY the re-imagining of the Disney classic is available on Digital HD. The Bluray Combo Pack is available for purchase August 30. While in Los Angeles, I watched “The Jungle Book” Reimagined,” where director Jon Favreau sits down with producer Brigham Taylor and visual effects supervisor Robert Legato to discuss the film and reflect on the time spent around the tale. It was such a joy afterward that we had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with Brigham and Rob themselves!
If you follow me on social media, you probably know how excited I am to see Disney’s PETE’S DRAGON. Even better, I’m excited to announce that I’m heading to Los Angeles in less than 2 weeks for one amazing press trip! PETE’S DRAGON isn’t the only film, I’ll be covering. I will also attend events centered about THE JUNGLE BOOK, QUEEN OF KATWE, and MOAANA!
