Today I’m excited to announce that Disney’s THE FINEST HOURS will make it’s home entertainment debut on May 24!! This heroic action-thriller tells the true story of a Coast Guard rescue. In 1952, a massive nor’easter struck New England, pummeling towns along the Eastern seaboard and wreaking havoc on the ships caught in its deadly path, including the SS Pendleton, a T-2 oil tanker bound for Boston, where 30 sailors are not trapped inside while it sinks! As word of the disaster reaches the nearby U.S. Coast Guard, officers plan out a daring operation to rescue the stranded men. Despite overwhelming odds, four men set out in a wooden lifeboat facing frigid temperatures, 60-foot high waves and hurricane-force winds!
