I realized when I started this blog it would be different from my others. This one would be more “family friendly” now that I’m a mom.
Then something amazing happens that I just have to share. So I’ll admit, it might not fit this blog, and probably will not be considered “family friendly”. Though if you were a child of the 90s, you just might enjoy this.
I connected with Brittany Chandler through a local Maryland moms group on Meetup.com. She was looking to expand her photography portfolio with newborn photo sessions, and well, I was getting ready to give birth to a newborn.
Brittany was able to capture beautiful pictures of Baby C, at just 10 days old. The studio was in her home using natural light. She had a heater at a warm 90 degrees plus to keep my little newborn son warm. She had a variety of back drops, props, and freshly washed blankets for our photo session. Since Easter was fast approaching at the time, she had adorable little bunny ears for my baby to wear, with a colorful spring backdrop.
After our session, she emailed me the edited images to share with my friends and family, and to print at my convenience. She let me decide which ones I wanted in color, black and white, or both! She also sent me low-res images to share on websites like Facebook. When I went to print the images at my local Sam’s Club, the online uploading center informed me that the images were not a high enough resolution. I decided to print them anyway since family was coming to visit soon and I wanted to show them the pictures. The pictures turned out great, not blurry at all! The resolution was fine. I’m sure the pictures were have looked even better if I had them professionally printed. Though they turned out great even just printed at a place like Sam’s Club.
I am pleased with the images from I received from this photo session and was glad I was able to help Brittany build her portfolio further.
