WOW! That is the first word that pops in my head when I think about the amazing few days I just experienced. As arrived back in the DMV around 2 AM this morning, you would think I would be ready to lay my head down and pass out. Nope! All I could think about was the fantastic press trip I just attended, specifically the World Premiere of PETE’S DRAGON! Luckily I did eventually go to sleep, I was able to later muster enough energy with the power of coffee to open up my blog and chat DETAILS with you on the memorable night.

Delivery Man Red Carpet Premiere at the El Capitan Theatre! + After Party Fun ~ #DeliveryManEvent
Thanks to the quite generous people of Disney and DreamWorks, I recently attended the red carpet premiere of Delivery Man this past Sunday night. The #DeliveryManEvent (I hope you were following the hashtag) was beyond amazing. This actually was the first RED carpet I’ve ever walked on (Monsters University had a BLUE carpet… so that TECHNICALLY wasn’t red carpet) With light bulbs flashing, and cameras snapping (obviously for the stars, not little ole me), twenty-four other bloggers and I arrived on the Red Carpet at the El Capitan Theatre to strut our way into the premiere showing of Delivery Man.
The film stars Vince Vaughn as affable underachiever David Wozniak, whose anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years earlier resulted in 533 children. Now David must embark on a journey that “leads him to discover not only his true self but also the father that he could become”. Chris Pratt plays his best friend, lawyer, and overwhelmed father Brett, while Cobie Smulders plays David’s love interest Emma.
Now if you read my most recent posts leading up to my trip out to California, you’ll know that the Delivery Man premiere was a last minute surprise. When I say last minute, I mean last minute! The excitement of attending an additional red carpet premiere fueled my adrenaline while on my mission to find another red carpet worthy outfit in one week. Luckily mission accomplished! New dress? Check! New shoes? Check! New jewelry? Check! Okay, so maybe I already owned my shawl and handbag, but I was more than thrilled to be taking another red carpet look in my suitcase. Once I packed my outfit, in less than a week, I was standing here… the RED CARPET:

Unfortunately my time on the carpet was short. I walked, posed, had a bloggy buddy take my photo, and then I continued onto the theater. Still though… it was quite an exciting experience! Since I didn’t have the time to take photos of the wonderful celebrities and stars of the film who walked the carpet, DreamWorks Pictures was generous enough to send over some photographs of the event that I can share with you all, my wonderful readers (Photography credit goes to DreamWorks Pictures):
I’ll Be Hanging Out With Heroes Thanks to Disney, Marvel, & DreamWorks! ~ #ThorDarkWorldEvent #DeliveryManEvent
Ever have one of those bad days that are just so awful that you assume it will never get better? Yup, totally had one of those the other day. As some of you know, I’ve been super bummed about loved ones being deployed overseas very soon. I had one of those days where it was weighing heavily on my mind. It is those HEROES who I kept thinking about… until… an email from Disney popped up in my inbox discussing a different type of “hero”! Funny thing… the email came through while I was at work, and I’m pretty sure my co-workers were suddenly confused why I was shrieking with glee!
Next month I’m headed to Los Angeles to attend the THOR: THE DARK WORLD red carpet premiere, interview Loki aka Tom Hiddleston and Sif aka Jaimie Alexander,. How freaking awesome is that news? That’s not all though… I also get to see DELIVERY MAN and interview Chris Pratt and Vince Vaughn!! So now do you see why I so giddy with happiness? To say that the news made my day is an understatement. It totally made my year!! I cannot wait to attend the #ThorDarkWorldEvent and #DeliveryManEvent!
I feel myself getting all excited again as I even type this post! Okay, I promise to calm down so I don’t type complete gibberish from all my SQUEELING!
Now my son is also a HUGE Super Hero fan! I must admit, he loves Iron Man the best… but he was certainly excited to hear that his mom was heading to a super-hero themed event (as a 2 year old, he didn’t quite understand what I meant by red carpet). Every day he keeps asking “Momma, when you going to see super heroes?”
Actually now looking at that big grin on his face, I hope he knows that I’m the one going to hang out with heroes, not him, LOL!! I promised to bring him back awesome Marvel gifts if he behaved while I was gone.
Monsters University World Premiere & Tailgate Fun at the El Capitan Theatre! ~ #MonstersUPremiere #MonstersU
While I attended an expense paid trip by Disney to the Monsters University Premiere, all opinions are 100% my own.
By my lucky stars and Disney’s generosity, I attended the Monsters University World Premiere and Tailgate earlier this week on June 17th. To say the experience was amazing is a complete understatement. If anyone knows how to put together a fabulous premiere event, it is Disney and the El Capitan Theater! Twenty-four other bloggers and I arrived on the Blue Carpet decked out in Monsters University’s school colors, royal blue and white. Given that blue is an MU color, the red carpet was absent and replaced with a fun BLUE carpet for attendees to walk.
The carpet was decked out with MU signage everywhere! You truly felt like you were getting ready to walk onto campus going underneath the big MU Stone Arch. Surrounded by gothic-style gates, the event planners really hit the nail on the head with the design and elements of the blue carpet area. As I walked into the Tailgate section, I loved how it took me back to my “Spring Fling” University days where vendor tents were set up all over the place!
