The first time I watched the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAN MEN TELL NO TALES trailer, all I could think was “Wow, that’s one creepy creep” (Didn’t know Salazar was a ghost yet!). When Javier Bardem plays a villain, he plays a villain well. There is a reason Javier won the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his role as hitman Anton Chigur in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. His portray as Raoul Silva in the James Bond thriller SKYFALL, once again proved that Javier plays a nefarious villain up on the big screen. Interview with Donnie Dunagan (“Bambi”) & Peter Behn (“Thumper”) of BAMBI + Chat with Paul Felix (Visual Development Artist)! ~ #BambiBluray
75 years. That’s a long time, isn’t it? BAMBI has stood the test of time and to this day, 75 years later, it is still one of the most popular Disney classic animated features. Did you know that BAMBI is actually among the films selected for preservation in the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry? To celebrate the 75th anniversary, not only is Disney releasing BAMBI as part of the Walt Disney Signature Collection (May 23 for Digital HD and June 6 for Blu-ray), but they also invited myself and 24 other bloggers to participate in a conversation with Donnie Dunagan (voice of “Bambi”) and Peter Behn (voice of “Thumper”), moderated by Disney Archivist Becky Cline! How amazing is that?
Touring Suite 3H: Walt Disney’s Animation Studios Office ~ #BambiBluray
On my recent press trip to Los Angeles, we visited the Walt Disney Animation Studios to attend an event celebrating the 75th Anniversary of one of Walt Disney’s classic animated films, BAMBI! Release in 1942, BAMBI is said to be one of Walt’s most favorite films that he oversaw. As a special treat, we had the opportunity to explore a replica of Suite 3H, Walt’s offices, in the old Animation Studios building that sits on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank. Back in 2015, Disney renovated Suite 3H and reopened it as a permanent exhibit honoring Walt.
