Last fall I had the privilege to interview Kyle MacLachlan, who voiced the Dad in INSIDE OUT. At the time, declared him the Number One Hottest Disney Dad. I hate to break it to him, but I think someone else is about to take that spot. In Disney PETE’S DRAGON, Wes Bentley plays Natalie’s dad and Grace’s fiancee, Jack. Known for his darker roles (such as Ricky Fitts in AMERICAN BEAUTY, Seneca Crane in THE HUNGER GAMES, and John Lowe in AMERICAN HORROR STORY), I have to say, I really enjoyed seeing Wes in a more “light-hearted” role, such as a dad, a role he is quite familiar with in real life!
Chatting PETE’S DRAGON with Oakes Fegley & Oona Laurence ~ #PetesDragonEvent
Over the weekend Disney’s latest live action film, PETE’S DRAGON, finally opened! I was lucky enough to attend the premiere and screen the film last week. As you can tell from my review, I thoroughly enjoyed this family film, and could not wait to take my son to see it. I did just that yesterday, and my son really soaked in the magic and excitement of Elliot the dragon! I think what also makes the film relatable to kids, is that it features kids! Oakes Fegley and Oona Laurence star as Pete and Natalie, an adventurous boy and the girl he befriends.
Exclusive Interview with Bryce Dallas Howard ~ #PetesDragonEvent
Ever have those days when you plan to meet up with your long lost girlfriend, and she’s running a tad late? But once she arrives, she is apologetic and you are both just really happy to see once another? And then all you can do is chat about kids, hair, and gorgeous men just like old times? That’s the feeling I got when Bryce Dallas Howard of PETE’S DRAGON walked into the room. Of course she is tall gorgeous and was totally rocking the cutest outfit. But the one thing that stuck out with me when we were chatting with her was how RELATE-ABLE she is. Just one of the moms, wanting to chit chat with girlfriends…
Disney PETE’S DRAGON Review ~ #PetesDragonEvent
As children we all have that one movie that we could watch over and over again. For my son, it’s the original 1984 GHOSTBUSTERS. But for me… it’s a Disney classic… BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. However, the original 1977 PETE’S DRAGON was definitely in my top five. I loved watching the fun mix of live action and animation, while singing the songs from the whimsical musical. When Disney announced they would re-imagine PETE’S DRAGON for their live action slate, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As time went on and I saw the trailer and clips, my curiosity grew into pure excitement. On Monday night I was finally able to screen the movie, and I was not the least bit disappointed! WOW. What. A. Film.
PETE’S DRAGON World Premiere + El Capitan Theatre Fun! ~ #PetesDragonEvent
WOW! That is the first word that pops in my head when I think about the amazing few days I just experienced. As arrived back in the DMV around 2 AM this morning, you would think I would be ready to lay my head down and pass out. Nope! All I could think about was the fantastic press trip I just attended, specifically the World Premiere of PETE’S DRAGON! Luckily I did eventually go to sleep, I was able to later muster enough energy with the power of coffee to open up my blog and chat DETAILS with you on the memorable night.
