What I’m Wearing on My Nails for Spring!

nails for springMy nails were still green from St. Patrick’s Day last month. Looking at them today I knew I desperately needed to change it up! I knew I wanted new nails for spring. Looking through my nail colors, I tried to pick something that was hot and on-trend for 2013. I decided to go with coral and mint, colors I’m totally loving right now.

For the mint hue I chose “Read My Palm” from Sephora by OPI, and for the coral hue I chose “Kensington Palace Gardens” by Nails Inc. London. I’ll be attending a Kentucky Derby Soiree the first weekend in May. I’ve been looking at Derby fashion for attire ideas. Many of the flags and jockey colors remind me of the color blocking trend. Walking around town today, I started seeing more sailboats out. Again, with the sailboat flags I saw color blocking. So I figured why not do a simple color block split on my nails?

I removed my previous nail color just fine. However I’m kicking myself that I didn’t buff my nails prior to repainting. Just ignore the bumps! Using just scotch tape, it was simple to create this design.
