BORN IN CHINA in Theaters Today! ~ #BornInChina #EarthDay

I’m so excited that Disneynature’s BORN IN CHINA is now in theaters everywhere! The film just opened today and we can’t wait to go see it this weekend in honor of Earth Day. Do you know what’s really awesome though about this film’s release? You, the moviegoer, will help out the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)! Disneynature (via the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund) will make a contribution to WWF, based on opening week attendance (April 21 – 287) to help protect the wild pandas and snow leopard that you see in this film.

This film (narrated by John Krasinski) takes you on an epic journey into the wilds of China! You’ll experience the most extreme environments, where few people have ever ventured! BORN IN CHINA follows the stories of three animal families. You’ll meet a doting panda bear mother, who guides her growing baby as she begins to explore and seek independence. A two-year-old golden monkey who feels displaced by his new baby sister joins up with a group of free-spirited outcasts. And a mother snow leopard—an elusive animal rarely caught on camera—faces the very real drama of raising her two cubs in one of the harshest and most unforgiving environments on the planet.

I’ve always been a fan of Disneynature films and the up close glimpse they give you into wild animals that I normally never come in contact with in person. Their latest film, BORN IN CHINA, is set to hit theaters April 21, 2017! This time Disneynature will take off in an epic journey deep into the wilds of China. What’s even more exciting about this film, is that actor John Krasinski (13 HOURS: THE SECRET SOLDIERS OF BENGHAZI) joins the Disney family and is the narrator of the film!

Top Five Reasons to See @Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom! ~ #MonkeyKingdom

I received the following information as a blogger via Walt Disney Publications. While I’m attending an expense paid trip by Disney to the press events for Avengers: Age of Ultron and Monkey Kingdom, all opinions are 100% my own.

Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom Ph: ©Disneynature 2015So hopefully you’ve been following along on my #MonkeyKingdom adventure and saw that I was lucky enough to recently screen the film MONKEY KINGDOM. The film, which opens TODAY, tells the adventures of the clever Maya, a toque macaque monkey who lives with her troop aka the monkey kingdom, among the jungle ruins in Sri Lanka.

Not long after we are introduced to Maya, her life is changed when she gives birth to her baby boy Kip. As Maya is at the bottom of her crazy complicated monkey family, she is determined to find a way for her son to excel in their monkey world. Maya’s world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. In her adventures, Maya encounters deadly predators such leopards and monitor lizards, as well as one point dealing with loosing her home, Castle Rock, to a rival monkey family. Through it all though, you see Maya keep her chin up, and use her street smarts to survive.
