I had the privilege this morning to appear on FOX45 to chat about Pi Day, which is March 14th!! Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 because the date coincides with the first three digits of pi: 3.14. Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. So since Pi is constant, it is the same for every circle, no matter the size! This morning I shared fun ways to celebrate Pi Day, including a yummy treat! I love the idea of creating little “pi” pops to enjoy on Pi Day! So what better filling than to use than one of my son’s favorites… Nutella!! Plus I used our favorite pie dough, Wholly Wholesome!

Deliciously Simple Homemade Dutch Apple Pie Bars ~ #Recipe
All opinions and thoughts expressed are 100% my own.I always think of fall and winter as apple season. So I’ve been baking with apples nonstop lately! One of my favorite recipes to create is Dutch Apple Pie! I just love this classic crumbled topped dessert. It’s always a hit whenever I bring it to social gatherings.
A couple times last I made these bars, as a twist on traditional Dutch Apple Pie. Serving the dish bar style allows for smaller portions. Plus I just love the added texture the delicious crunch oat topping provides. Even better? It’s super simple to make!

The air is becoming more crisp here in Maryland, and that is a sure sign of fall coming! This is absolutely one of my favorite seasons. The change in foliage, the cool weather, and of course my favorite part of fall are the yummy treats packed with comforting flavors. I’m thinking pumpkin, spice, apple, and one of my favorites… pecan! Growing up my mom always made us kids the most delicious treats and little bites that with one taste, you immediately knew it was fall.
Thinking of that memory, now I’m the one inspired, baking away in the kitchen. One of my favorite new products to use in my culinary creations are M&M’s® Pecan Pie flavored candies! (Pssst! If you love baking too, you’ll want to keep read to learn how you can win a Kitchenaid Mixer!).Check out below for a detailed tutorial on how to create M&M’s® Pecan Pie Delights.
