I’m so excited to announce that in honor of the upcoming release of Marvel Studios’ THOR: RAGNAROK, Disney, Marvel Studios, Dolby Laboratories, Synchrony Bank, American Association for the Advancement of Science, Broadcom MASTERS and Society for Science & the Public are hosting the nationwide MARVEL STUDIOS’ THOR: RAGNAROK SUPERPOWER OF STEM CHALLENGE in conjunction with the film! Similar to past STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) challenges, Marvel Studios is, once again, encouraging young girls to explore the superpower of STEM with this challenge.

Disney’s “Create TOMORROWLAND” – XPRIZE Challenge! ~ #Tomorrowland

image002I’m excited to let you know that XPRIZE, along with Disney Citizenship and Walt Disney Studios, is getting ready to unleash a nationwide challenge for young innovators. Together they are launching a video contest, beginning April 22, 2015, for 8-17 year-olds to imagine world-changing technology of the future inspired by the upcoming Disney movie TOMORROWLAND! In other words, kids are challenged to imagine themselves in the future and report back to the present through video, imagery or stories about one new and amazing invention or innovation they encounter, how it works, and the impact it has on the future, according to XPRIZE.

The prizes are seriously beyond amazing. Participants will compete in two divisions: Junior Division (8-12 years old), and Senior Division (13–17 years old). In total there will be six winners, who will have a once–in-a-lifetime mentorship experience with a leader in their area of interest. Furthermore, each winner will receive a $3,000 check, a 3D Printer from 3D Systems, and registration for FIRST® LEGO® League for the competition season 2015-2016 in the U.S.!
