Get ready for a new Marvel era!! The relaunch of the Avengers with a new creative team starts with Avengers #1 out May 2! Marvel is taking a new direction this summer as Jason Aaron teams up with Ed McGuiness to present to fans what I’m hoping will be one of the best Avengers comics to date.
Right now there is much buzz and excitement surrounding Marvel Studios’ AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, arriving in theatres April 27. But now I’m happy to announce even more excitement that Marvel fans will want to hear… Marvel Studios has begun principal photography in Los Angeles, CA, on its newest film, CAPTAIN MARVEL! According to a recent press release, the production is shooting in and around the greater Los Angeles area, which will also serve as the production base for the film. The production will also shoot on location in Fresno, California, as well as locations in Louisiana, including Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
A couple weeks ago we picked up the latest Marvel Previews Issue with information on their relaunch of AVENGERS!! Flipping through the pages, our excitement grew and grew for Marvel’s “FreshStart” lineup coming this Spring and Summer with a new creative team. Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor all return as Avengers with Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, and a new addition to the team, Ghost Rider! But after THOR: RAGNAROK quickly shot up into my son’s Top 3 favorite Marvel movies, he’s so ready for launching of THOR #1 under the new team.
