When I think of summertime nostalgia, I think of my days as a kid out by the pool, long car rides to the beach, riding our bikes late into the evening since the sun was still up… and surrounding a fire pit, roasting marshmallows for one of our favorite summer treats: s’mores! Since today, August 10, is National S’mores Day, HERSHEY’S Chocolate World is celebrating all things s’mores!

Experience Sweet Candy Creation Fun: Create Your Own Candy Bar at HERSHEY’S Chocolate World

Any time we visit Hersheypark Amusement Park, we always enjoying popping into HERSHEY’S Chocolate World too! Located near the entrance to Hersheypark, HERSHEY’s Chocolate World is packed with not only HERSHEY Company themed retail and dining, but exciting attractions as well. One of our favorite Chocolate World adventures is the Create Your Own Candy Bar attraction. It is such a fun way to enjoy an authentic HERSHEY’S factory experience. And the best part? You get to design (and eat!) your very own candy bar!

Chocolate Caramel Bacon Candy #Recipe!

BaconCandyThe recipe that I’m sharing with you today I’ve actually been making for awhile now. Last month I was invited to my friend’s graduation ceremony and after party, as he graduated from our local college… this little ole institution called the United States Naval Academy. (Hint hint, I used my sarcasm font!). Graduating from USNA is a BIG DEAL. It’s a tough institution to say the least, and it graduates some of the best of the best individuals here in AMERICA! What better to celebrate my friend’s achievement then gifting him and our other friends a delicious creation made up of some of our favorite treats: Chocolate. Caramel. and BACON.

Yes, I know it may not sound like the healthiest of treats, but it certainly is yummy! I mean really, my friend just spent the last four years of his life working hard on both his mental and physical fitness. He deserved some fatty chocolate and bacon!
