HeroesEatMMsOne of my absolute favorite action movies I saw this year was Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier! It has everything I enjoy in a movie… action, adventure, superheroes, and of course a little eye candy. After screening the film, I knew this was one I definitely wanted to add to my home entertainment collection.

… and guess what? Captain America: The Winter Soldier is out on Blu-ray and DVD next Tuesday, September 9th! What better way to celebrate the release than with a Movie Night right at home? I have some pretty awesome Captain America themed recipes on my blog, but I’m excited to share with you my most recent recipe, featuring one of my favorite candies… M&M’s®!

Marvel’s IRON MAN & CAPTAIN AMERICA: HEROES UNITED Out July 29th!

IMCAHUTitleYou can probably tell by the amounts of Marvel themed post on this blog, we are HUGE fans of the Marvel Universe. Last year Marvel released IRON MAN & HULK: HEROES UNITED which teamed up two fan favorite Avengers in a new animated adventure. My son was a HUGE fan of the movie. In fact, I’m pretty sure he would have watched it five time a day if I allowed him.

The movie featured new groundbreaking animation! Marvel went beyond what you see it normal 2D animation. This new technique combines CG animation with 2D mapping. The CGI effect gives the characters a more realistic and detailed appearance. Now Marvel is at it again… only team up two other fan favorites!

In the previous Heroes United, the scene after the credits sets up another Avenger to come into the picture. This time it is Captain America!

But that’s not all! Come September 9th, 2014, the film will be available on 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand! How awesome is that?

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. My Top 5 Reasons to See @Marvel’s #CaptainAmerica: The Winter Soldier! ~ #CaptainAmericaEvent

CATop5Earlier this week I had the privilege to attend a screening of Marvel’s latest film CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER! Marvel was even gracious enough to allow my best friend (who is a Marvel fan and the creator of the Mighty Stuffed Burger!) attend the screening with me. Now before I get more into the review, let me just say, if you have been a fan of Marvel’s Avengers series, this film is a MUST-SEE! And guess what? It’s out TODAY! As a matter of fact, I’ll be seeing the film again this weekend as many local theaters are showing double features that include the first Captain America film.

Marvel’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Anthony Mackie. Evans returns once again as Captain America, while Johansson reprises her role as the Black Widow. The film picks up after THE AVENGERS where Steve Rogers finds himself living in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. It’s not long before his quiet life is interrupted, and his world is turned upside down questioning who he can and cannot trust. It’s not long before he finds himself not only fighting off assassins, but joining forces with the Black Window, and new found ally, the Falcon (Mackie), to battle a new enemy… the Winter Soldier.
