Bright Starts products and toys have always been pretty popular in our household. My son loves their toys. They’ve always created engaging, fun, and fresh toys for babies and toddlers. This is exactly why I was super excited to learn about Bright Starts Having a Ball Giggables! Now that my little man is up and running, he loves chasing anything. These balls are right up his alley.

The full line of Giggables features a Tiger, Elephant, Pig, Frog, Chick, and Cow! They are quite colorful and are geared towards ages 6 months to 36 months. They are quite easy for a baby to push along and hear the “giggles” of the animal.

Bright Starts generously sent us the Tiger from the Having a Ball Giggables line to test out with my son and to review. The Giggable characters are so cute with their vibrant colors and funny faces.

Enjoy the Holidays with California #Wine Club ~ #wineclub #Giveaway

Last month I posted about the perfect holiday gift for the special wine lover in your life, whether they enjoy a casual drink or are a true win connoisseur: the California Wine Club! If you recall, as a member of one of their clubs, each month you will receive two bottles of wine. Every wine they feature comes from a real working artisan winery located in California (obviously!) and is backed by their 100% guarantee.

For the past two months, I’ve received a membership to California Wine Club. Last month they delivered two wines that my friends and I were able to enjoy at one of our dinner parties. Unfortunately, December’s shipment had not arrived by the time this posting was due. As you can guess, an adult signature is required upon delivery. Unfortunately, UPS did not deliver on the day that Mom Spark Media informed me was the delivery date. Luckily I’ve been in contact with California Wine Club and their amazing customer service is ensuring I’ll receive the delivery next week. I can’t wait to try the next two wines.

2012 #Holiday Gift Guide: Baobab the King of Superfruits ~ Fruit Cubes ~ #Review #2012holidaygiftguide

In my efforts to find healthy snacks instead of slipping into the holiday sweets trap, I’ve recently discovered Baobab Foods, Inc. aka The King of Superfruits!

So what is Baobab? It’s a fruit from southern Africa that contains more antioxidants than any other superfruit. Yes, even more than acai, blueberries and pomegranate. Known for its fiber content, more than half of Baobab is ultra-healthful soluble fiber. Learning these facts, I was quite eager to try the fruit.

Luckily Baobab Foods has created the Baobab Fruit Cubes! These bite-sized cubes are perfect for whenever I get that craving between meals. Plus they are just fun to eat! I love that they contain no added sugar. The cubes are only 81 calories per serving, making them some of the healthiest dried fruit around.

Baobab Foods sent me the Fruit Cubes in three different flavors: Mango, Strawberry, and Raspberry! I’m a fan of all three fruits so I was super excited to try out the Baobab fruit in these flavors.

2012 #Holiday Gift Guide: I See Me’s My Very Own Name Coloring Book and Placemat ~ #Review #2012holidaygiftguide

We are huge fans of I See Me! Personalized Children’s Books in this household. My son has both the Very Merry Christmas and Very Happy Birthday Book. We absolutely love the uniqueness of both books. So when I found out I See Me! was coming out with Personalized Coloring and Activity books as well as placemats, I was more than eager to learn more about these great stocking stuffers!

So first let’s talk about the coloring books! They offer an Owl Storybook version and a Fairytale version. Either one you choose, your child is the star! Their name is prominently displayed throughout the pages. If you choose to submit their birthday as well, that is tied into the story.

We chose the Owl version to feature Connor, my sons name. In this tale, adorable animals bring letters one by one to spell out Connor (or your child’s first name) in rhyme! Since my son loves animals, this was especially fun for him to look at. He enjoyed coloring the personal pages even more! There are also fun activities like asking your child to draw a picture of themselves, and match each letter in their name to an illustration where the subject represents that letter.

2012 #Holiday Gift Guide: Lots & Lots of …. Toy Trains & Trucks ~ #Review & #Giveaway ~#2012holidaygiftguide

So the past year my son has really been into trucks and trains. I mean REALLY into them. Anytime he spots a truck while we are out on the road, but the next 5 minutes all I’ll hear is him repeat the word “truck” over and over again. As for trains? If he hears the theme songs from Thomas and Friends or Chuggington, you bet he will come running in gleefully yelling “trains!” as loud as he can. Luckily our local plant nursery sets up fabulous toy train display that we take him to often to get his “train fix.”

We don’t always have time to pack up and drive over so my son can watch the trains. Luckily for us, Marshall Publishing has the Lots & Lots line that offers award-winning DVDs, Books, CDs, CD-roms, and broadcast and internet programming! They cover all kinds of topics include animals, monster trucks, fire trucks, motor sports, and more! Other subjects include rockets and space, jets and planes, and monster trucks.
