The other day I could feel that cool air coming! Fall is officially here, and it won’t be long before Winter and snow arrive. Even as a busy mom, I still try to find the time when Winter approaches to check my tires, and ensure I have my Winter Emergency Kit together in my car. Though there is one thing I’ve been missing. I need to ensure the efficiency of my headlights!
Since October is Headlight Safety Month, this is the perfect time to check your headlights. A common issue is dim headlight bulbs and hazy headlight lenses, which can lead to reduced visibility. With Daylight Savings Time approaching, and kids soon hitting the streets for when school lets out and trick-or-treating, it is more important than ever to ensure clear nighttime visibility.
Pep Boys stores and 3M have teamed up together to offer an easy-to use Headlight Restoration Kit. There are no tools required, and is just a fraction of the cost of professional cleanings.
Now I’ve never tried my hands at headlight restoration prior to learning about this kit. I’ve always left that to someone who actually knows a little more about cars and mechanics than me. However, this portable kit is so easy to use, and you have the ability to do the work yourself in the comfort of your own garage. Yes, even a car-clueless person like me can do it. Plus no long waits at the dealership or service center! The kit works easily on most plastic lenses, including taillights, trailers, snowmobiles, emergency vehicle light bars, plastic motorcycle lights, etc.
Don’t forget to check out the mail in rebate!
This is the season when you will want to restores the clarity of yellowed, hazed, or dull headlight lenses. Head to your local Pep Boys to buy the Headlight Restoration Kit today! You’ll save time, money, and most of all… a step closer to safe driving.

Very cool. I wish I had known about this a year ago. My Mom’s car had trouble with this, but didn’t know why.

Just checked it out on Pep Boys site. Only around $22 for the kit. Sounds like an excellent deal. Our Toyota could sure use this. Thanks!

I have had to have my headlights restored when I was 16. It worked like a charm and was a lot cheaper than new headlights which is something any 16 year old can appreciate. Glad to see it’s becoming more popular.
