Alright folks, just a few more days till Halloween! Today I’m sharing with you one of my son’s favorite treats that we make this time of year. He loves Boo Berry™ cereal, and since he can’t have them for breakfast every day, I use them to make cereal treats he can enjoy in his lunch at school, or as dessert after dinner.
Want to know the best part? They are SUPER EASY to make. All you need are a few simple ingredients, and you are one your way to making a delicious BOO treat full of spookiness for you and your little ones.
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
4 cups miniature marshmallows
4 1/2 cups Boo Berry™ cereal
Sprinkles
Directions
First you’ll want to spray a pan with cooking spray. As for size, you can choose. It all depends on if you like your cereal bars thicker (smaller pan) or thinner (bigger pan). Then set the pan aside.
Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat. Then add in your marshmallows and bump up the temperature to medium heat.Once marshmallows are melted, remove pot from heat. Add in your cereal and stir well so that all the cereal is coated with the marshmallows. As for the sprinkles, we found these fun bug shaped ones that would my son found to be so creepy and so perfect for his cereal treats!
Once the marshmallow has coated the cereal, add in your sprinkles and mix. We used the bug sprinkles, and then orange sugar sprinkles.
You can use any type of sprinkles you want. We always switch it up in colors and shapes.
Then you’ll want to press the mixture into your pan already coated with cooking spray. Place in the refrigerator to cool.
Once they have cooled, go ahead and cut the cereal into individual bars and serve! These are great for Halloween parties or if you just want to enjoy a spooky treat!
