It may be August already, but that doesn’t mean summer is over yet! Hopefully you’ve been enjoying this warm season, creating summer time memories, and experiencing the fabulous weather. I know that my family and I have made much use of our front porch! It is absolutely one of my favorite summer activities to just spend time out on my porch relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. After dinner, I often go out there just to relax and enjoy one of my favorite desserts on these summer nights, like SNICKERS® Ice Cream Bars found at Walmart. (Pssst, be sure to keep reading to learn about a sweepstakes with the chance to WIN a $100 Walmart e-gift card!)
Speaking of desserts… I have a delicious treat for you that pairs perfectly with relaxation and summertime. What better way to cool in the hot summer heat than with ICE CREAM! Keep reading to learn how to make SNICKERS® Ice Cream Pops made with SNICKERS® Ice Cream Bars!
I’ve included an easy tutorial below. Trust me, you’ll want to try this! Plus I’ve also included how to create a delicious SNICKERS® Milkshake also using SNICKERS® Ice Cream Bars. Both are DELICIOUS, and definitely great ways to enjoy a treat while cooling off in the heat.
SNICKERS® Ice Cream Pops
Ingredients
SNICKERS® Ice Cream Bars 6 pack
Vanilla ice cream
Peanuts
Chocolate chips
5 oz Dixie Cups
Wooden craft sticks
Muffin tin
Directions
First you want to take a couple of ice cream bars and chop the bars into smaller pieces. Usually I cut the bar into 12 equal smaller pieces.Afterward, take a few scoops of softened Vanilla ice cream, or the pairing ice cream of your choice. Throw in the chopped up ice cream bars! Then mix them well together! If you’ve used softened ice cream, it should work well. Remember you can always zap the ice cream in the microwave for 15 seconds to make it easier to work with.Once the ice cream is mixed well together, temporarily set it aside. Next take your Dixie cups, and place a cup in each crevice of the muffin tin (or just place the number of Ice Cream Pops you’d like to make.) Add in crushed peanuts and chocolate chips to your liking! Now it’s time to add your ice cream mixture into the Dixie cups. After you evenly add ice cream to each cup, take your wooden craft sticks and place one vertically in the middle of each cup as show below. Now you’ll want to stick them in the freezer for 4 to 6 hours. Once the pops are done freezing, take them out and grab a pair of scissors. Make a little cut on the edge of the cup and then peel back the Dixie cup paper slowly to reveal your ice cream pop!Once you’ve pulled off the Dixie cup paper, there you’ll have your Ice Cream Pop! Now you can sit back, enjoy your summer, and indulge in a delicious ice cream treat.
