This recipe was provided to me by RMD Advertising in partnership with Wholly Wholesome to present live on television on FOX45 Baltimore. All opinions are 100% my own.
Earlier this month I had the privilege to appear on FOX45 Baltimore to chat about National Peach Month! You’ll notice that this month I also shared here on the blog one of the recipes I presented: Peach & Prosciutto Pizza. Today, I’m going to share with you the recipe for a Simple Peach Pie!
This is one of my favorite summertime desserts to make. Peaches are packed with Vitamins A, B, and C, but also so deliciously sweet. A peach pie is perfect for your end of the summer party!
Ingredients
Wholly Wholesome gluten-free pie shell
5 cups of fresh sliced peaches
1 cup of sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of sugar
Directions
Go ahead and preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Next you’ll want to take pie shell out of freezer and place on cookie sheet to start to soften. Then stir together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, and the cinnamon. Set aside for now.
Next you’ll want to wash, peel, and slice the fresh peaches. Mix them in with the dry ingredients. Add the new mixture into the pie crust. Be sure to sprinkle top with those 2 tablespoons of sugar. Then cover the edges of the pie with foil to prevent over browning.
Bake the pie for for 50 to 60 minutes. When you think the pie has about 15 minutes left to bake in the oven, go ahead and remove the foil. You’ll want to make sure the crust is golden brown and the filling juice begins to bubble over.
Let the pie cool down for at least 20 minutes. Then slice and serve! It’s so easy and so simple to make. Using the Wholly Wholesome pie crust definitely helps you create a delicious pie when you are crunched for time!
