As the Third Season of SILICON VALLEY starts soon, HBO is releasing the Second Season on Blu-ray and DVD today April 19th! For those unfamiliar with the series, SILICON VALLEY centers around a small group of programmers and their start-up company in the tech mecca of… yes, you guessed it… Silicon Valley.
What I really enjoy about this show is the cast of hilarious actors. They definitely bring the laughs! The group includes Richard Hendricks (played by Thomas Middleditch), who, thanks to his developments of a new algorithm, is considered the brains of the company Pied Piper. Along for the ride are his friends Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) and Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani). You’ll also meet landlord Erlich (T.J. Miller) and ‘organized support man’ Jared (Zach Woods). 
At the start of the Second Season, we find the Pied Piper team searching for new investors in efforts to sell their product. It’s not long before Gavin Belson (played by Matt Ross), the CEO of Hooli decides to sue Pied Piper claiming what Richard developed was on Hooli computers. The season displays the team’s struggle as they try to maintain control of the algorithm. As you watch the 10 episodes of the Second Season, you are really left wondering which way the storyline will go! Honestly I had no clue as to who I thought would end up coming out on top and in control.
A new this season included Laurie (Suzanne Cryer), who takes over Peter Gregory’s company. Peter was previously played by Christopher Evan Welch who passed away last year. Therefore his character was written out of the show. Also showing up is the wealthy Russ Hanneman (Chris Diamantopoulos), who we’ll go ahead and describe as quite eccentric. Russ finds a way into Pied Piper and does his best to help them… while also bringing a downfall. You have to watch the season to see how it plays out!

I haven’t seen this show but it sounds good. I will have to check it out.
I have not watched this show, but I have heard of it. I bet my dad would have liked Silicon Valley. He liked this type of show.
