It’s finally here! Last night debuted the teaser trailer for next installment of everyone’s favorite pirate adventures… PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES! FINALLY! We are huge fans in this household of the previous films. The PIRATES ride was actually my son’s favorite when we visited Disney this past January. I haven’t shown him the trailer yet, but I know he’ll be super excited!
Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, and Kevin McNally all return to reprise their roles as Jack Sparrow, Hector Barbossa, and Joshamee Gibbs. Excuse, I meant to say CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow. The film will also see the return of Orlando Bloom as Will Turner. Bloom’s character was not featured in the previous PIRATES film, ON STRANGER TIDES.
Other stars featured in this film include Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar, a ghost pirate; Brenton Thwaites as Henry, a young man trying to reconnect with his father despite a curse; and Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth, an astronomer seeking a powerful artifact. Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg serve as directors.
Once again, Captain Jack Sparrow is pursued by an old rival. This time it is Captain Salazar, who along with his crew of ghost pirates has escaped from the Devil’s Triangle. He is determined to kill every pirate at sea. To stop him, Jack must seek out the Trident of Poseidon, which grants its possessor total control over the seas!
