Red roses are traditionally a gift to give someone to how your romantic love for them. Personally I love getting roses. Though you know what type of roses I really love? Or really what type any food lover may enjoy receiving? Pepperoni Roses!
Since today is Valentine’s Day, I think it is quite appropriate that I share with you a tutorial on how to create simple and delicious Pepperoni Roses for the one you love. Or for yourself. Let’s face it. You may enjoy these roses before they reach their recipient because yes, they are that delicious.
Crescent dough sheet
Simply roll out your sheet of dough. Use a pizza slicer to cut out long strips. I was able to make six to eight with each sheet. On each strip, use a spoon to add a bit of pizza sauce. Use a spoon to spread evenly. Then place the pepperoni slices so that half is above the top of the dough, and half is on top on the dough.Sprinkle cheese on top of the pepperoni if desired. You can wait till the “roses” are rolled before adding the cheese. Though I like to add the cheese before the rolling (and then a little bit more after). Fold the bottom half of the dough up over the bottom half of the pepperoni. Then from one short edge of the dough, roll firmly and try to keep the roll tight. Place each one in the space of a muffin tin. Feel free to sprinkle on more cheese if you wish!Bake at 375 degrees for 13 minutes or until golden brown. Once done, let them cool a bit. Then serve and enjoy! If you or your loved one enjoys pizza or pepperoni, then you must try out this recipe! Not only is it tasty, but just good ole fun. Even if you aren’t a fan of roses, you have to admit… Pepperoni Roses are quite awesome!
