As the little man is getting older, lately I’ve been think about family activities to do together. One of our favorite pastimes was so go watch one of our favorite MLS teams, DC United play! With World Cup not too far into the future, it got me thinking about how much my son would love watching a soccer match.
Growing up I always had so much fun at the games! I don’t know if it was the excitement, the action, the crowds, or the hot dogs, but a good time was had by the whole family. I’ve starting looking at the schedule for the rest of the season for some family fun. Unfortunately though, it didn’t look like I could make many games. Then I thought of a bright idea…
What if we traveled to other cities to watch other MLS teams play? We are already planning a trip to Utah soon, why not go see Real Salt Lake play a game? I’m sure it is just as much (or maybe more) family fun as seeing our home team. What a fun way to create new family memories with my son and other family members! Plus, since I plan on putting my son in soccer once he is a little older, this might be great exposure for him to the sport.
What about you? Are you a soccer fan? What’s your favorite MLS team?
