Ever since I saw a peak at the artwork for Disney’s FROZEN, I’ve been itching to see the trailer! Don’t get me wrong, the teaser was absolutely adorable. My son was laughing nonstop when we saw the teaser, featuring Olaf the Snowman and a reindeer named Sven, before Disney’s PLANES! Olaf is voiced by the hilarious Josh Gad.
After seeing my son’s cheerful reaction to Olaf, I decided to make our snowman fruit pops a little early this year! If your child enjoys bananas, then this is a super easy snack to make them in honor of Disney’s Frozen!
Ingredients
bamboo skewers
bananas
carrots
mini chocolate chips
Directions
Simply slice your banana into 3 “circles” that are thick enough in width to place on the skewer. Then slip them onto the skewer as seen as below. Make sure the skewer doesn’t go completely through the top slice or “head”. If you have a very little one, make sure they are careful with the sharp point of the skewer.
Place two chocolate chips on the middle slice for buttons, and then two more on the top slice for eyes. For Olaf’s nose, simply cut a triangle out of a carrot stick. I’ve found that cutting the top off a “baby carrot” and then cutting that in half vertically works great!
See? So simple and just a few easy steps to see a smile on your little one’s face when they see their Olaf snack! The Olaf Banana Pop makes either a great snack, or even a dessert! One option is to use raisins instead of the mini chocolate chips. You can also insert small pretzels sticks into the middle slice to create arms!
I can’t tell you how excited I am to take my son to see Olaf and his friends on the big screen in November! I just can’t wait! Can’t wait either? Well to hold you over until then, make some Olaf Banana Pops and check out the trailer below:
