If you were watching the “Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60” on ABC back on Sunday night, you probably caught the new teaser for PETE’S DRAGON. In case you didn’t, have no fear… I’m sharing it with you today!
Just seeing the poster has me excited for a remake of this classic Disney tale! Walt Disney Studios is re-imagining this family film for a whole new generation. This film is centered around the adventures of a boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott… who just so happens to be a dragon.
For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted children of the town with his stories of a fierce monster that who lives deep in the nearby woods. His daughter Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), on the other hand, who just happens to be a forest ranger, never believed his stories. Then one day she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley), a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home… who just happens to live in the woods with Elliott the dragon. It’s not long before Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon!
