When we walked out of the theatre after viewing CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, I asked my son what he thought of the movie. He told me that the Black Panther was his new favorite character. As a long time Iron Man fan, who was beyond excited for Spider-Man to join the crew, it was a nice surprise to hear him pick the alter ego of T’Challa. My son was not familiar at all with the character of Black Panther prior to watching CIVIL WAR. But this new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe definitely made a great first impression on one little Marvel fan, who absolutely can’t wait for the self-titled BLACK PANTHER to hit theaters in February 2018.
BLACK PANTHER features our new favorite hero returning to Wakanda to succeed the throne after the death of his father, the King (as seen in CIVIL WAR). Wakanda is an isolated, technologically advanced African nation. It’s not long before a powerful old enemy reappears. T’Challa must now balance his life as the king and Black Panther, for the fate of Wakanda (and the world) is at risk!
