Proper hair care has always been on to my top priorities in my daily beauty routine! You see, I have really thick and wavy hair. Trust me, I’m grateful to have such thick hair. However I just wish it was a little more manageable and sleek looking. I actually have to flat iron it daily to get the smooth and straight look that I usually sport. Though I do worry about the damage I’m doing to my hair with all that heat. That is why I’m always on the lookout for alternative treatments.
I recently had the chance to check out and test some new products from TRESemmé®, Dove®, and Suave® thanks to Walgreens! They have an amazing selection of beauty products to treat yourself to a new stunning haircare routine. Each product worked wonders in its own special way.
Products I tried included:

I loved that each product targeted a specific issue for my hair and helped create that smooth and silky look that I desire!
The first product I used, and probably enjoyed the best, was the TRESemmé® Keratin Smooth treatment! With the new 7 Day Smooth line extension, you’ll have ultimate frizz resistance that lasts through washes. My hair became so smooth and soft. It was so easy to style! Plus you don’t always to use it every time you wash your hair since it will last through at least three washes.
Another product I used the new line of Suave® Natural Infusions. These oils are salon proven to moisturize, smooth and restore your hair’s natural shine! I loved using this product on days where I knew I was going to flat iron or use a curling iron on my hair. Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, this is definitely a product you’ll want to use that day! It will give your hair that extra boost and shine, make it look absolutely irresistible for your date!
I also tested Dove® Advanced Hair Series with Oxygen moisture! Now this product serves to “breathe life” into flat hair. Flat hair isn’t my issue, but I still loved using a pump of this foam into my wet hair every morning. I used other treatments to smooth out my hair, but this Dove product ensured that my hair would never fall flat.
Dove also offers Dove’s Pure Care Dry Oils, which are made from first-pressed organic oils which are absorbed in an instant to nourish and pamper hair and leave it looking smoother, shinier and softer from the first use.

I have super-duper thick hair too. I have to flat-iron mine all the time as well, plus get it thinned out whenever I get a hair cut. I’ll have to give some of these products a shot. It would be great to not have to use my flat iron so often. :)
TresEmme shampoo is something I like quite a bit. I haven’t tried the Keratin Smooth but it sounds like something I might find useful, especially when the more humid weather comes along and brings frizzies with it.
