Who knew today is National Milk Chocolate Day? I didn’t until I came across this recipe for Chocolate Pizza at WhoNu Cookies’ website! So I figured, why not celebrate with a little Milk Chocolate (or really any chocolate for that matter). Here’s what you need to make your own delicious Chocolate Pizza:
1 pkg (19.5 oz) low fat brownie mix
18-20 WhoNu?™ Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, chopped (half the box to make about 1-1/2 cups of crumbles) or any sandwich cookie for that matter
3/4 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
1/3 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces or peanut butter candies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare brownie batter as directed on package; stir in chopped cookies. Grease 14-inch pizza pan. Spread thick batter evenly. Bake in middle of oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in thickest portion. Scatter marshmallows over hot brownies and return to oven for another 3 to 5 minutes till golden. Scatter nuts and candies on top, pressing lightly into softened marshmallow and warm brownie mixture. Cool and cut into desired shape – pizza style suggested. Serving quantity will depend on width of slices.
