Halloween is almost here!! If you are looking for a cute dinner idea for your kids to enjoy before heading out to trick-or-treat, check out these Mummy Hot Dogs! I’ve seen a bunch of different tutorials all over the internet for this tasty meal. So we decided to finally try them out for ourselves!
Ingredients
1 can (8 oz) of refrigerated crescent dough sheet
8 hot dogs
Honey or Dijon Mustard
Cooking spray
Directions
First go ahead and preheat your oven to 375°F. Then unroll your dough sheets. Press down so that the creases disappear for the most part. It’s okay if they are still there, not a big deal at all. Then slice the dough into thinner strips.
After slathering mustard on your hot dog, take 3-4 pieces strips, and wrap them around the hot dog so that they look like bandages. Make sure you leave room for a “face.”
Spray a cookie sheet with the cooking spray. Place the hot dogs on the sheet. Bake for 13 minutes, or until the “bandages” are a light golden brown color.
You can use mustard to draw on eyes (and a smile!) if you wish. Ketchup is great to use as a dipping sauce!
It doesn’t matter how you customize your Mummy Hot Dogs… they will still be a hit among your little mummies! My son was all smiles when I served them for lunch the other day!
Happy Halloween!!
