Now that the little man is getting older, he doesn’t want baby food. He wants meals! Now this working momma sadly doesn’t not always have the time to make him a fresh nutritious meal every night for dinner. Luckily for me, and other busy parents, Mom Made Foods offers healthy organic frozen children’s meals!
From Heather, Mom Made Founder
I created Mom Made Foods because I believe in convenient meals that do not sacrifice quality or nutrition, and that kids should be able to eat delicious foods without added junk. Inspired by kids and the familiar recipes they love, we use only the freshest quality ingredients, such as organic products and meats raised without antibiotics, all sourced in the USA.
Mom Made Foods generously sent me vouchers to purchase Mom Made Food products at my local retailer, which happen to be a Whole Foods Market. I easily found Mom Made Foods in the Frozen Baby Meals section of my store. I chose the Cheese Pizza Munchie, the Bite-Sized Turkey Meatballs, and the Cheesy Mac Meal for my son to try.
I absolutely love that even though these meals are frozen, there are no preservatives! Each meal is USDA Certified Organic for kids. Healthy, nutritious, natural, and ready in just minutes? I’m in!
Now my son isn’t quite a year old yet, so I still have to cut up “table food” for him into tiny pieces. The Cheese Pizza Munchie includes two pizzas. I cut up one for my son, and then let me friend’s three year old eat the other. Unfortunately, the three year old gobbled it up before I could get a picture of the pizza as a whole for my readers to see. Fortunately, he gobbled it up quickly because he loved it so much! “Very yummy” were his exact words. My son very much enjoyed his pizza too. While he couldn’t tell me the exacts words, his smiles and he shoved fist full of pizza bits let me know exactly what he thought. It didn’t take long before the pizza was gone!
For comparison, check out the nutritional information below for the Cheese Pizza Munchie!
Next we tried the Bite-Sized Turkey Meatballs. What is great about these for my son is that he could only eat about 5 meatballs at a time. Therefore one pack actually served as several meals! Okay, he probably could have eaten more than 5, but that’s all I gave him at a time. Again, I cut them up in to small pieces. Below you can see how the meatballs looked before I sliced them up. I’ve also included a comparison of nutritional information to similar products.
Last, but certainly not least, we tried the Cheesy Mac Meal! This was my son’s favorite. However, he does not like peas, as they seem to be one of those foods that does not sit well with his stomach. Please note this is peas in general, NOT specifically the peas in this meal. I pulled them out and ate the peas myself, giving him my green beans instead. However, I think the smile on his face shows how much he loved the Cheesy Mac. This was his first time trying anything like it! I’ve also included a comparison of nutritional information to similar products.
Overall I was very happy with the nutritional value of each product. My son certainly enjoyed the deliciousness! I’d say this is a win-win for Mom Made Foods! Be sure to check their website and browse other products and meals offered by click “Our Foods”.
