My family just loves Marvel. We get excited any time we hear a new Marvel super hero movie is coming out. So imagine our excitement when we learned that Marvel was teaming up two fan favorite superheroes in one action packed adventure!
Out December 3rd, Marvel presents Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United! This 72 minute animated action film brings together two of the most famous Avengers, Iron Man and Hulk. Heroes United teams up Hulk’s brute strength and Tony Stark’s high-tech intellect, where they become a powerful duo necessary to face off against one of the most dangerous enemies.
In this adventure, the evil Zzzax plans to destroy Earth. As it turns out, Iron Man and Hulk are mankind’s only hope. Since neither can defeat Zzzax alone, they must work together to find a way to save the world.
While out in California this month, I had the pleasure of getting a sneak peek at the first 15 minutes of the movie. I love that for this film, Marvel uses a new groundbreaking CGI animation technique. They go beyond what you see it normal 2D animation. This new technique combines CG animation with 2D mapping. The CGI effect gives the characters a more realistic and detailed appearance.
After the peek at the Heroes United, we were able to learn a little more about the film. It was cool to learn how Marvel decided to bring together Iron Man with Hulk. They actually asked kids who they wanted to seem team up! Now if you asked my son, who is a huge Avengers fan, he would have voted for Iron Man and Captain America. As for me? I’d probably say Thor and Iron Man, or Thor and Captain America (can you tell I’m a Thor fan?). The most popular answer among they kids they asked though where Iron Man and Hulk. The kids pointed out that while Iron Man is more “technology-based”, and the Hulk is more “smash-based”, that teaming them up would be interesting considering how opposite they are. The kids polled wanted to see how the two would work together to solve problems. Therefore it was a done deal. If the kids wanted to see Hulk and Iron Man together, then it is Hulk and Iron Man they will see!
Now as I mentioned above, my son loves the Avengers and most certainly want to see this movie! An aspect that I love about Heroes United is that it is more than just a superhero movie. There is an underlying GREEN message! You see, Zzzzax is one to use up energy and the movie aims to teach the little ones about the importance of conversing energy and how it helps our plant.
