With a little one in the household, I’m try more and more to move away from household products with harsh chemicals, and move to those that are all natural or organic. Since I’m trying to switch out most of my cleaning-related products, I was super excited to learn about Le Savonnier Marseillais and their line of Savon Noir soap. This product is perfect for Green Cleaning!!
Three different varieties are offered: Lavender, Eucalyptus, and Unscented. Le Savonnier Marseillais generously sent me their Lavender Natural Liquid Soap to tested out for review.
What I think I love most about this product is how versatile it is! The liquid soap is can be effectively used on household washable surfaces, and for home chores. As for the green aspect, the soap is doesn’t have any added colorants or solvents. It’s considered eco-friendly, biodegradable, and economical!
I admit, at first I thought the scent was a little strong, but as I used the product, I started to feel differently. One of the ways I experimented with the Savon Noir is that I tried using it as my everyday laundry detergent. I loved the aroma it gave my clothes in the wash.
The Savon Noir soap is also perfect to use in the kitchen! I not only used it on my hands for washing, but also to clean the kitchen counters. I love that this product cleans, cuts through grease, and polishes my dishes just like regular dish soap. I’ve also been using the soap to clean my counter tops and sink basin. Since this products cuts through great so easily, you can also use it for cleaning ovens, stovetops, exhaust fans, and other appliance surfaces.
I didn’t just use the Le Savonnier Marseillais soap for assistance with my household chores. I also used it has handsoap in the bathrooms! By then the scent had really started to grow on me and the lavender was perfect for relaxing in the evening.
Other uses for the liquid soap include the glass surface of your windows, and the product is also save to use on wood, plastic, and carpet. I plan to use the soap next to clean both the interior and exterior of my car. While researching the product, I additionally learned that the Savon Noir can be used on plants in your garden. You simply dilute soap and spray it on the plants to protect them from insects.
Overall I’ve been thrilled with the performance of this soap. I love that I can use it for multiple purposes and it helps with my green cleaning efforts.
