The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has reported that Kolcraft has recalled 96,000 Jeep Liberty strollers. This is due to the fact that the inner tubes in the tires can rupture and cause the wheel rim to fracture causing the tire to blowout.
Reports show that at least 18 people have been injured by these blowouts. If you bought your Jeep Liberty stroller at Burlington Coat Factory, Sears, Toys “R” Us, or another children’s specialty stores online anywhere from June 2010 to June 2013, please contact Kolcraft ASAP for replacement wheels. They can be reached at (800) 453-7673 from 8 AM to 5 PM EST Monday through Friday or online at www.Kolcraft.com, where you would then click Safety Notifications for more information.

I have the double stroller like that. I better check the tires just to be safe! Thanks for the heads up!

Thank you for the heads-up. I went with a different model, but a friend of mine has one of these. I’ll have to make sure she knows of the recall.
