The past few months I’ve been slowly transitioning my son into using a sippy cup. Bye bye bottles! I soon began my hunt for the perfect sippy cup. One that was durable and safe. With Kid Basix, I easily found a sippy cup with both those aspects, but also that grows with he as he gets older!
At Kid Basix, we started a revolution when we rethought the sippy cup and created the Safe Sippy™ no-spill bottle from clean, non-leaching stainless steel. But while BPA-free products are still important to parents, the world is changing. Safety, value, the environment – they are all important now. And Kid Basix will continue to be at the forefront of that conversation as we !rethink: EVERYTHING.
Kid Basix generously sent me their Safe Sippy 2 in blue! This 2 in 1 sippy bottle is 11 oz and is also availabe in green, purple, orange, red, and pink. Geared towards ages of over 6 months, the bottle features a wide spout, dust cover cap, straw, straw adapter, travel plug, and removable handles.
My favorite aspect about this bottle is the 2 in 1 feature. For when your child feels they are too old for a sippy cup, simply remove the handles and install the straw and straw adapter. In just seconds, you’ve turn the sippy cup into a cool water bottle!
BPA-free and using a stainless steel cup, not only is it safe for your little one to drink out of, but along with the thermo plastic rubber insulation, it helps keep cold liquids cool, and warm liquids warm. Non-leaching and toxin free, this bottle is so easy to clean. Just throw it in the dishwasher!
As stated above, there are various settings to the Safe Sippy 2. The travel plug, featured on the left, definitely came in handy while we were out and about. Along with the thermo feature, this product is the perfect sippy cup for when you are on the go. Sometimes my son likes to shake his cup around thus causing liquids to spill out. The travel plug was great for keeping all the liquids in. The middle setting is for the sippy cup, and the straw adapter is feature on the right. The straw pops right into the middle of the adapter. So easy to use!
We love the Safe Sippy 2 and not only take it on the road with us, but use it at home too. The handles have made it so easy for my son to use. I love that he’ll be able to use it over the next several years due to the straw features that turn it into a water bottle!
Kid Basix offers their original Safe Sippy (just like the bottle I reviewed minus the straw and straw adapter), as well as the Safe Sporter, which is a 16 oz water bottle. For the littlest of ones, Kid Basix offers the Safe Starter, which comes in both 5 oz and 9 oz baby bottles.
Buy It: You can purchase Kid Basix products right on their website! They offer free shipping on orders over $50. Kid Basix products are also available at retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Buy Buy Baby, Macy’s, Right Start, Diapers., One Step Ahead, and The Land of Nod to name a few. The Safe Sippy 2 retails for $14.99. The various pieces are available for individual purchase at the Kid Basix website.

Oh, I LOVE this!!! Thanks so much for letting me know these exist!
It’s cool how this cup basically grows with your child. I need to get one for my son!

I just got one of these too and really like it!
I want one of these for my daughter! Both of us need this! Her sippys are all in bad shape!
We have one of these and I love how it can go from sippy cup to straw cup. My son is just figuring out how to use a straw so this definitely extends the life of this cup. I also think the design is cool enough for kids to use it as they get older!

We are starting to transition too and I like to try every cup under the sun. I never heard of this one before but it’s now on our list to try! Thank you.
